What is a student health insurance plan?

What is a
mutual?

A mutuelle santé is a complementary health insurance scheme that optimizes and completes your healthcare reimbursements.

In fact, the reimbursement of your medical expenses by Social Security varies according to the type of care (dental, optical, specialist consultation, etc.) and the reimbursement base used as a reference.

So taking out a student health insurance plan is essential if you want to take care of yourself with complete peace of mind!

Frequently asked questions Yvon

I want to change my mutual insurance company to Yvon. Is that possible?
Of course ☺. Don't forget to cancel your current mutual insurance beforehand, otherwise you'll have to pay for both.
What's a local plan?
The local regime, also known as the Alsace-Moselle regime, has been a special historical feature since 1946. It offers its members higher health reimbursements than other health insurance schemes.
Why is it important to follow the coordinated care pathway?
To be properly reimbursed by Social Security ☺ How do you go about it? All you need to do is first consult the doctor you have declared as your "treating physician", and then the "corresponding" doctor he or she has indicated. If, for example, you consult your GP, Social Security will reimburse 70% of the €25 fee. However, if you go to a practitioner who is not your GP, you will only be reimbursed up to 30%. Yvon's tip: you can consult certain practitioners directly, without going through your GP and without being penalized: gynecologists, ophthalmologists, stomatologists (as well as psychiatrists and neuropsychiatrists if you're aged between 16 and 25).
What is tiers-payant?
This is the system that saves you from having to advance money and pay the healthcare professionals you consult. Doctors are paid directly by Social Security and Yvon Assur' Santé. Practical for your budget ☺
What is a medical questionnaire?
This is a document required by many insurance companies: they ask you to list all your possible health problems. As a result, an insurance company may refuse to cover you or increase your premium. With Yvon Assur' Santé, no medical questionnaire ☺
What does the "reste à charge" mean?
This is the amount you still have to pay after Social Security has reimbursed you. For example, your consultation with a GP costs €25. Social Security reimburses 70% of this €25, or €17.50. The remaining cost is the €7.50 you have to pay out of pocket. To be reimbursed at 100% and have no remaining costs, subscribe to Yvon Assur' Santé ☺
